Is a Motor Home difficult to drive?
- Not really, But it is obviously bigger and takes a bit of getting used to.
- Be careful reversing, no rear view mirror so maybe use you passenger to guide you back.
- Speed will be slower than a car so no point in rushing.
- problems can arise if you get lost and need to do 3 point turns in unfamiliar places, but we can provide a Sat Nav to help avoid getting lost.
- Motor-caravanning is a relaxing holiday so no point in getting stressed.
Will my normal driving license be OK for driving a Motor Home?
- We have selected a vehicle that is under 3.5 tonnes, so no need for C1 on your license.
Can I go anywhere in the motor home?
- You are insured for UK cover.
- Insurance can be arranged for a charge of £50 for Ireland or European cover.
- Discount of 10% for Dover to Calais Ferry, if arranged through us.
How much fuel will I use?
- It is a 2.2l diesel so quite economical.
- About 28 miles per gallon.
How will I remember how everything works on the Motor Home?
- All simple equipment.
- There is a check list in the vehicle.
- We will spend 1 hour carrying out a full hand over when you pick the vehicle up.

I’m used to all home comforts will I find them in a Motor Home?
- So are we.
- The motor home comes with a full inventory of equipment.
- We can also supply Linen and towels as an option for £10 per person.
Will the motor home be warm enough in the Winter?
- The Chausson is a French make designed to deal with the rigors of the Alps.
- It has a forced air heating system.
- Fully insulated.
How long can I hire a motor home for?
- During the summer months minimum is 7 days per hire.
- Additional days can be added at £125 per day.
- Discount can be quoted for periods longer than 2 weeks.
- Long weekends are invited at all other times.
What will I do with my car while we are away?
- Free parking is available for one car at our premises at your own risk.
Can you deliver the motor home?
- We are situated 5 minutes from Glasgow Airport and 5 minutes from Paisley Train station, we can arrange pick up locally.
- If you have any problems simply ask and we will do our best to ensure you have a fantastic holiday.
What do we need to bring?
- We can supply adult mountain type push bikes, We recommend children use their own.
- Bed linen and towels (if not supplied by us).
- 2 forms of identification for each driver, one may be your driving license (card and paper part).
- We provide a starter provisions pack with Tea, coffee, biscuits and a few other essentials.
How long will it take to hand over the Motor Home?
- Plan on around 1 hour.
Where can we stay with the Motor Home?
- The flexibility is great.
- Can go to many campsites.
- Can recommend sites approved by the Camping & Caravanning Club.
- Camp wild in lay-by as long as you comply with road traffic law.
What if we have a problem while we are away?
- The vehicle is new and well maintained so problems are unlikely.
- Full breakdown cover is included.
